Raptor 3 LED Stand

Assembly

The Raptor 3 LED Stand needs very basic assembly. Insert the pedestal into the base and gently turn clockwise until it stops. Please be sure to tuck in the wires into the base and avoid pinching/pulling them as they are fragile.

Controlling the LEDs using the Button

The Raptor 3 LED stand is powered by USB and comes with a suitable USB cable. On the back of the base, there’s a momentary button that does the following:

Powers On/Off LEDs

Long press (~1s)

Cycle to next preset

Double press

Cycle through colors

Long Press (6s) 

Resets WIFI Settings (SSID: WLED-AP, Password: wled1234)

Extra Long Press (12s)

Erases all settings and configurations! All LEDs will glow an amber color. Devices will have to be restored from backup.


Connecting to the device’s WIFI Network

Each the Raptor LED Stand has a WIFI network that allows you to connect to and manage all the settings such as color, speed, preset, effect, smart home automation. etc. Please see the steps below to get started

  1. Power on the device and wait ~30 seconds

  2. From a PC or smartphone, connect to the device’s WIFI network

  3. Use the table above to identify your device’s network and password

  4. Once you are connected, open a browser and go to http://4.3.2.1

  5. The below should appear. Click TO THE CONTROLS! to change the settings, adjust the presets, etc.

 

Optional: Adding the device to your WIFI network

  1. Connecting the device to your home WIFI network by first clicking on the Config (gear icon) in the top menu

  2. From the config menu, click on WIFI setup

  3. On the WIFI setup page, enter your home's WIFI network name and password and click save

  4. After saving, go to the WIFI Setup menu again, and find the Client IP address

  5. Reconnect to your home's network, and navigate to the device using its new IP address on your home network

    Example:
    I would browse to http://10.0.0.152  (your IP address will be different)

    Note:
    If you have issues getting your device connected to your home WIFI, please make sure your router provides 2.4GHz WIFI. Additionally, this YouTube search might be of help: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=wled+wifi+setup

Optional - Changing the default preset (effect)

  1. Determine the preset ID Number that you want to run all the time



  2. Open the Config menu and click on LED Preferences
  3. Scroll down until you find the “Apply Preset ___  at boot” option and enter the ID number of the preset you want to run at start up
  4. Click SAVE at the top or bottom of the page
  5. Test the new preset setting by cycling power to the warp core

 

WLED File Downloads

Note: To download the files, Right click the links below and click Save Link As. To upload the files connect to the device over WIFI and navigate to it's settings page at http://4.3.2.1/settings/sec. You should see a section to upload both the preset and configuration json files. Upload the preset file first followed by the configuration file. After uploading the configuration file, the system will reboot and will start running normally.
